ENGRAVING

Our jewellery is often finished with a stylish engraving. At Atelier Torbjörn Tillander also the engravings are done manually. Engraving by hand requires special skill and it’s made by a traditional burin. When an engraving is made manually the result is more personal and refined than by machine engraving. It also offers totally new opportunities for the creativity. Engraved images, ornaments and inscriptions are designed on the outer or inner surface of the jewellery whilst mechanically assisted engraving only offers a choice from a computer database or ready models.
A beautiful hand engraving makes the jewellery more personal. It’s strong and long-lasting and tells a story about the jewellery for generations to come.
